Note:

Family tradition reported that the Queen Anne style house, a drastic rebuilding of an antebellum Greek Revival dwelling, was planned by Samuel Sloan. Detailed (unsigned) specifications survive in the estates papers of the client, Ike Young of Henderson. These included detailed specifications for paint colors in reds and greens similar to the original paint scheme at the Executive Mansion. No documentation of Sloan’s authorship, however, has been found.
