In his advertisement in Health Resorts of the South (1892), J. A. Tennent showed a drawing of the ornate Second Empire style structure and captioned it, “This building was erected by J.A. Tennent”; the same image appears elsewhere in an advertisement for the Maitland School. It was later known as the Holland Boarding House.
