Note:
Henry M. McAden, and industrialist and banker, built the unusually expansive, stuccoed house as one of the first large residences in the Myers Park suburb. McAden subsequently employed Asbury to design his First National Bank in downtown Charlotte. The house and garden were featured in the magazine Southern Architect in 1924.
