Note:

The public school incorporated the red brick Georgian Revival style favored by Embury and his clients. Whitehead commented that in his public schools in the Sand Hills, Embury avoided the “factory-like look” of most public schools and produced buildings that gave the pupils “a daily object lesson in good architecture.”
