The formal, red brick Georgian Revival residence was commissioned by the owners of the Henderson and Harriet Cotton Mills in Vance County and shows the architect’s mastery of the traditional style popular among prosperous North Carolina citizens of the period. The plans, which survive, are dated 1925 and the house was occupied by 1929.
